How can you jump over your shadow

The building that today hosts the Serpentine Gallery was built in 1934 as a tea pavilion, in the former private gardens next to Kensington Palace, west of Hyde Park. Kensington Gardens are also famous for the fact that Peter Pan used to live in them before he flew to Neverland. The popularity of these gardens among Londoners is best described by the anecdote where the King asked the Prime Minister what would it cost him to close the Gardens. The Prime Minister replied it would cost him his crown.
